electronic hum, high overtone over lower buzz, dsp and laptop?, distant blowing of return fan; yes the keys of the ibook sounds ant-like, I agree; the appliances, probably the refrigerator, clicks ocassionally; the upstairs apartment closes window as an airplane very far away speeds up. Someone now taps on something, or pounds, and they can't help but add a rhythm to it.
