the sound I hear is the sound of something I composed. it is the combination of mutated piano recordings drifting under the noise of an old barn creaking from the pressure of autumn winds. the winds howl, the building shifts and the soft tones of humming wires rise and fall in and out of phase. the feeling here reflects an environment of open exposure to nature and social isolation in the rural countryside. these are the sounds that surround me daily as I walk around. slowly the piano tones fade and and we enter an abandoned chamber, an old oil tank where objects randomly fall and echo about the space. the sound decays in slow reverberation behind the sharp cracks of metallic impacts. the outside world is shut out and we drift in a hollow emptiness. it is here we may face the void of nothingness to freeze or act on the impulse of a potential motion.

the big ear is more than what we hear
